I almost changed my whole life?

I was texting today going 50 miles an hour while texting. Two people were on the side of the road walking. I looked down and felt myself swerving to the left but didn't look up. Right at the very last minute something made me look up. I yanked my wheel hard to the right to avoid from hitting two innocent people. I almost cried thinking about it. Was I about to change my whole life?
